The new energy-friendly head office for Novo Nordisk has greatly challenged and pushed the boundaries of modern construction with its many complex structures.

The magnificent building on Novo Allé in Bagsværd was designed by Henning Larsen Architects, with MT Højgaard A/S as the turnkey contractor. CSK was involved from the outset, contributing experience, know-how and expertise in relation to design, production and installation.

Close and trusting collaboration

As one of the most spectacular elements of the office building, CSK supplied the 90-tonne dome-shaped skylight. The architects drew inspiration from a helical insulin molecule in the design of the building. This meant that all internal staircases had to be designed individually.

In this area, as well as in other parts of the building, it was of great benefit to the final result and the budget that we designed in 3D, thereby creating a solid foundation for the joint coordination and execution. Coordination with the contractor, engineer and architect was thus characterised by open dialogue and mutual trust throughout the extensive construction project.
