Gillette Group Denmark’s head office was as one of the first buildings to be constructed when the old industrial area at Teglholmen was transformed into a modern waterfront office environment.
At the heart of the building lies the main staircase, which connects the open environments on each floor. The staircase has been decorated by renowned artist Sergei Sviatchenko for the full height of the atrium.
The internal stairs have mahogany steps and the railing is made of painted perforated sheet in a flat iron frame – inspired by the screen on an electric razor.
The external fire staircase is enclosed in tower of perforated sheet, which breaks up the otherwise strictly quadratic design of the building.
CSK provided the staircases, railing and stairwell in collaboration with architects Hvidt & Mølgaard.
